With all this beauty to experience and fun to be had, how are you going to cram it all in? And how are you going to make sure you don't miss anything?

What you need to do is this....Ask us to plan your holiday for you! We have lived here for nearly ten years and we have spent all that time exploring and learning about the incredible island we settled on. Our Byre guests and activities clients get to pick our brains about where to go and what to see, so why shouldn't you?
I suddenly had this brainwave while out walking Taran, our dog, the other day. On my regular dog walks everyday I see eagles and deer, sometimes on a good day an an otter pops up. If it's clear I can glimpse St.Kilda, and Taransay is on my doorstep. My perfect Sunday is to jump into my wetsuit straight from pyjamas and head down to the shore with my snorkel and mask. When Daryll and I have days off in good weather we are absolutely spoiled for choice; do we surf? Do we head up a mountain? Do we go off on our bikes? The possibilities are endless.
Thinking back, I remembered that the first couple of times we came to Harris, we hardly saw or did anything! We didn't know which hills were good to climb, or which beaches would have surf. We weren't sure where the good mountain bike trails were. It didn't matter, we still loved it. In fact we loved it so much that we just kept coming back again and again until moving here. And now we are experts.
My brainwave is that I should offer you a 6 day itinerary (either guided or self-guided, or a mixture of both) which will fast forward you closer to our current level of intimacy with this island! I have set up our booking system to capture information from you, including your interests and levels of adventurousness, and I propose to design 6 full days for you during your stay. Depending on your interests I will point you to local providers for boat trips, wild swimming, coasteering, horse riding etc, as well as offering our own guided services if they fit in with your priorities for your holiday, but if you are on a budget you will still be armed with 6 days worth of self guided walks, visits and activities to ensure you make the very most of your trip, independently. Each day will come with a weather recommendation. We rarely get a whole week of good weather here, so you will need to have some wet/windy weather options up your sleeve, and I can take care of that.
Your itinerary will be unique for you, tailored to suit the location of your base and your mode of travel. It will also include suggestions of what to bring with you.
